Fee Schedule

	Service Fee	Schedule for Payment
Home study Fees
$100	Application fee	Due with submission of the application.
$1,300	Home Study Fee	Due when home study/assessment begins.
$600	Home Study Update Fee	Due when home study/assessment update begins.
$400	Relative/Step Parent adoption fee	Due when home study/assessment begins.
Post placement Fees
$250 One child	Post-placement report	Payable after each visit. This fee covers the ongoing costs for HHSNC to provide supervision for the required period of time.
$40/each additional child	Post-placement report	Payable after each visit. This fee covers the ongoing costs for HHSNC to provide supervision for the required period of time.
Other Fees:	These do not apply to everyone
$75	Court Report	Due at the time that re-adoption report is requested by the courts. This is optional for families who are using their own attorney to assist with this process.
Mileage	Will be charged if over 50 miles from Raleigh	Due at time of service
Varies	Document certification	Will be billed as charged

Helpful Tips:

Some fees only relate to domestic adoption.
Some fees only relate to international adoption.
If finances are restricting you from pursuing your adoption, ask your agency if there are any special funding sources they can refer you to.
Explain your specific situation to your agency.
